Market data use
Effective 7 August 2026. How each market-data source may be used.
Market data is informational only and not a guaranteed value.
Active listings are asking prices, not sold comps.
Core rules
- Active listings are asking prices, not sold comps. They are shown separately and never labeled as sales.
- Sold comps and active listings are separated. Raw and graded comps are separated.
- No fake comps and no fabricated history. If data isn't real and sourced, it is not shown.
- No exact or guaranteed value. Market context is informational only.
- No original images are sent to pricing providers by default. Identity text only.
- Provider API keys are server-only and never exposed to the client.
How context is displayed
- The source and last-updated time are labeled on every value surface.
- The "informational only, not a guaranteed value" caveat appears near any number.
- Active-listing averages are never presented as "value" or "sold."
Caching
Only the safe snapshot is cached. Never raw provider payloads or secrets. Cache keys include provider, card identity, and grade context, and respect each provider's TTL and rate limits.
Listing drafts
Market context may be included in a listing draft as informational context with its source and caveat. Drafts never auto-post and never claim grade, authentication, or guaranteed value.
Each provider's current terms are verified before its data is enabled.
