Where your photos go
The table's “pricing provider” column is about market-data providers only. To generate a precheck, your original card images are sent to Grade Optic's server and, when the AI analysis provider is enabled, to that AI provider to analyze the card. Images are never sent to market/pricing providers. Only extracted identity text is.
Archive
Archiving a base card is storage optimization, not deletion. It preserves the original photo, identity, and cardId, keeps the card searchable, and is reversible (Restore to Scan).
Security
- Provider API keys are server-only; never exposed to the client.
- Card images are sent to the AI analysis provider only to produce a precheck; never to pricing/market providers.
- Logs must not expose sensitive data unnecessarily.
